All set to light up Big Brother

Aurora Lighting have been supporting Lighting Director Gurdip Mahal, keeping a watchful eye over the latest series of live evictions at the Big Brother House.

Having been given a major overhaul for the 2016 season, the new look BB set at Elstree Studios hosts each of the live evictions as a full on ‘rock and roll’ event, complete with vast wrap around video screens, plenty of automated lighting and a curved ‘catwalk’ at it’s centre.

Working closely with Gaffer Richard Shout, Aurora have supplied the crew with a variety of heads including the hugely versatile Clay Paky Mythos with it’s impressive spot and beam abilities providing precise colour and movement across the exterior of the set. For extra punch, powerful Novalight Super Novas have also been sited over the stage to deliver stunning aerial effects above the action.

A mix of MAC Auras and Rush PARs have been incorporated within the installation adding their powerful colour wash capabilities to the set interior. To complete the showbiz line up, Robert Juliat ‘Victor’ follow spots are used on the main stage area to make sure that the departing Housemates remain fully in the spotlight.

Commenting on the show, Aurora Project Manager Ben Taylor says “There is definitely plenty to watch out for with the Big Brother live shows as you can all to often expect the unexpected!”. It’s always a pleasure to be working with Gurdip - and with the revamped Elstree set, we’ve helped to create a live spectacle that has a true rock star feel”.
